Tour Accommodation

Rondon Ridge and Ambua are two of PNGs premier lodges. All guest rooms are en suite and have added extras such as electric blankets for those cold Highland nights. While you still have to be prepared for the unexpected usually the lodges work and there is hot water, transport does arrive when requested and the menus make interesting use of local produce.

While there are some steep and muddy trails to be negotiated for some species much of the birding can be done along the road and in the lodge grounds. Half day trips into the surrounding countryside are often along dirt roads but distances are not great.
